Mike and Simone Chilton are in the process of donating a major collection of botanical science books (1,000+ titles) to the library. The collection includes many rare books from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, including, for example, Gerard’s Herball (1633) and Ray’s Historia Plantarum (1686). Mr. Chilton has had a long career in the agriculture industry. They lived in SE Asia for 15 years. He is a member of the NUNM Board of Regents. He and his lovely wife Simone live south of Portland in Turner, Oregon.
